The new DSR Pro dropped last week, and honestly, it’s pretty much what we expected. No wild redesign, just a more polished, slightly pricier version of the DSR+. You’re looking at $1,200 for the solid colors (like that slick 007 Gold) and $1,300 for the PGA splash patterns. And yeah… one of those splashes looks almost exactly like one of my Paintball Ruined My Life barrel covers. I swear, I held them up side by side.

So what do you actually get for the extra cash? The big thing is the Ironman Pro kit — upgraded internals most DSR+ owners were already buying aftermarket. You’re also getting a feed neck thumb wheel (finally, no more digging for an allen key), a normal Deuce-style trigger instead of that funky lightning bolt, and the UL-I barrel with a .688 insert. Basically: stuff players were gonna add anyway, now bundled in.

Here’s the catch: I’m pretty sure this means the standard DSR+ is going away. If you’ve been eyeing one, this might be your last shot before everything switches over to the Pro. But let’s be real — if you bought a DSR+, you’d probably just upgrade to the Ironman Pro kit and spend about the same money.

The down side? No SLAP ASA. We all wanted it, but Dye’s saving that for their true high-end guns. Still, if you’re in the market, the DSR Pro’s a solid package right out of the box.
