So, a few years back, JT’s patent on the ProFlex expired, and ever since, we’ve seen a flood of companies jumping in and making ProFlex compatible parts. HK is no exception. They dropped the RMX bottoms and ears, which fit right onto a ProFlex frame, and now it looks like they’ve gone one step further: they’ve made their own goggle frame that still works with ProFlex parts.
From what I can tell, it’s using the same lens system from their HSTL line—the same one you see in their budget masks and the Skull mask Rainy wears. That means quick-change lenses, no tools needed, and a pretty familiar teardown process. You’ve got those little clips at the strap mounts that pop off so you can swap lenses. Super simple. Super clean.
It’s also light, minimal, and has that slim profile people like. I think it looks great. HK’s been hit or miss for some folks, but personally, I’m into their stuff. They’re not just slapping parts together—they built this frame to work with what people already use, but added a better lens system that’s actually modern.
I’m guessing the full mask setup—frame, ears, RMX bottom, and lens—will land around $150. I’d be surprised if it crosses the $200 mark, but hey, it’s HK, so who knows.
Smart move by HK or just another rehash of the ProFlex formula?
