As with every off-season in paintball, there have been some big moves. Scott Kemp and Bobby Aviles went to the Ironmen, Alex Goldman to Impact and Templeton and Carl Markowski went back to Aftershock. The top three teams shouldn’t come as a surprise no major upsets here, but further down the list there may be a few shockers.Â
First let’s start this off my saying I HATE the idea of months subscriptions to anything. I hate paying my monthly phone bill, I hate paying my monthly internet bill, you get the idea. I wish that I could pay the whole year upfront or a usage fee every time I want to use it. How many of you have a Netflix or Amazon Prime account and never use it? I’m sure plenty of you,…
Shelley Farmer just joined the ranks of the NXL broadcast crew. Shelley is no stranger to the broadcast booth as she has been with the Millenium Series for a few years both in the booth and on the ground providing player interviews. Farmer is also the capital of the all female paintball team Poison Ivy. So far she joins, Nick Slowiak and Matty Marshall in the booth. Still no word if Todd Martinize or Lauren Kelly…
Thank God! The NXL didn’t pick on of the insane WPBO sample layouts! While the layout isn’t as bad, as some of the samples this still looks a little funny. There are a ton on bunkers in the center of the field, the cool new “W” bunker and a lot of pins. From the looks of things, it looks like it will be very hard to shoot players off the break and possibly shoot anyone at…
Fantasy sports are all the range, they keep fans engaged and add more excitement to games, so why not paintball!? Welcome in FanWagon.com The first incarnation of fantasy paintball was created by the PSP and PaintballAccess, at the PSP World Cup in 2013. Contestants were given a preset amount of money, and players were given an assigned value based on their overall stats. At the time, the PSP kept stats for every player, kills, points won,…
Current 187 cRew player Nick Slowiak has been added to the NXL announcing duties this year. Nick is no stranger to the announcing booth, he was a regular on the microphone at both PSP and Millennium Series. Slowiak is great at giving a player perspective of the game and how the field is playing. In the past, Slowiak would come into the booth for a match or two, now that he is signed on officially, he should spend…
Not that it was really in any doubt, but Matty Marshall has signed on to be the main announcer for GoSports i.e. the NXL and possibly the Millennium Series. Matty has been a mainstay in tournament paintball webcasts and tv programs for nearly 10 years, reaching as far back as the Smart Parts World Championships and the NPPL all of which aired on American National TV. Marshall was at the first PSP webcast and he…
