The Planet Eclipse GEO R5 is the latest and greatest in the Geo line of paintball guns, following the somewhat underwhelming Geo 4. This time, they’ve overhauled a lot about the gun while making it strikingly similar to the current CS3 also from Planet Eclipse. Even die-hard fans might need a second glance to tell the GEO R5 apart from the CS3, as they look almost identical. Both models now sport the same fore-grip, trigger-frame, trigger, electronics, regulators, barrel, and feed-neck. Essentially, the GEO R5 is like a CS3 with a twist—the 5R uses the newest version of the IV Core the new GR drivetrain, while the CS3 uses a GammCore-based drivetrain.
